Left Photo: The USS SIGSBEE  was laid down 22 July 1942 by Fedreral Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Kearny, New Jersey and was launched on Dec. 7 1942, exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Right Photo: Sigsbee was Commissioned on 23 January 1943 with Mrs. A.O. Commemorative postcard of the launching of the Sigsbee dated Dec. 7, 1942.  This date was also the one year anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.  I purchased this postcard on Ebay 8-29-01 after receiving a tip from Cheryl Sigsbee.
